Why You’ll Love Little Muscles
Made for Hardworking Muscles & Joints
Little Muscles was created first and foremost as a massage-focused body-care product for growing bodies.
Warm a small amount between your hands and gently massage it into hardworking muscles and areas around active joints after sports, play, movement, or a busy day.
The smooth botanical formula provides the glide needed for slow, intentional massage while giving parents and caregivers a simple way to make post-activity care part of the routine.
For Kids in Organized Sports
Practices, games, lessons, meets, tournaments, and training can ask a lot of a growing body.
Little Muscles fits naturally into the transition from activity to rest after:
- Soccer
- Basketball
- Baseball and softball
- Dance
- Gymnastics
- Swimming
- Running and track
- Martial arts
- Tennis
- Volleyball
- Cycling
- Adaptive sports
- Other organized activities
It isn’t about pushing a child through discomfort.
It’s about taking a moment afterward to care for the muscles and joints that did the work.
For Kids Who Play Hard
Not every active child wears a uniform.
Running around the backyard counts.
Climbing at the playground counts.
Biking around the neighborhood counts.
Jumping, dancing, skating, hiking, building forts, chasing friends, and simply being the kid who never seems to stop moving all count.
Play is movement.
Little Muscles was made for those days too.
For Children Who Move Differently
Movement looks different for every child.
Some children work harder to move through everyday activities. Some use braces, walkers, wheelchairs, or other adaptive equipment. Some participate in physical or occupational therapy, assisted movement, or adaptive recreation.
Little Muscles was created with those children in mind as well.
When massage is appropriate for the child’s individual needs, Little Muscles provides a rich botanical medium for gentle parent- or caregiver-guided body care.
For children with diagnosed mobility, neurological, developmental, or musculoskeletal conditions, follow the guidance of the child’s healthcare or therapy team regarding massage and topical products.
Kombo Butter: The Heart of Little Muscles
At the center of Little Muscles is the ingredient that connects it to our original Muscle Butter: Kombo butter.
Derived from the seeds of the Pycnanthus angolensis tree, native to West and Central Africa, Kombo butter has a long history of traditional use in topical body-care and massage preparations.
Its naturally deep color, earthy botanical aroma, and distinctive fatty-acid profile give it a character unlike more familiar plant butters.
In Little Muscles, Kombo is blended with shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, apricot kernel oil, and vitamin E to create a rich formula that warms between the hands and glides comfortably across the skin.
It’s what helps make Little Muscles more than an everyday moisturizer.
It was created for massage and intentional care of hardworking muscles, active joints, and growing bodies.
Why Massage?
Massage is about more than applying a product.
Warm hands and slow, gentle movement create an opportunity to pause, pay attention to the body, and give hardworking areas some extra care after activity.
For a young athlete, that might happen after practice.
For an energetic child, it might come after a full afternoon at the playground.
For a child who moves differently, it may fit into an existing caregiver-guided body-care routine when appropriate.
It can also become a way to simply check in.
Where did your body work hardest today?
How are your legs feeling after practice?
Did one side work harder than the other?
Does anything feel different than usual?
Little Muscles is not intended to diagnose an injury or treat pain, but an intentional body-care routine creates something valuable on its own:
a moment to pay attention to the growing body in front of you.
After the Game. After the Playground. After a Big Day.
Little Muscles works naturally at the moment when activity ends.
After practice.
After the game.
After adaptive sports.
After a therapy session when massage has been approved.
After outdoor play.
After a long day of simply being a kid.
Warm a small amount between your palms.
Massage gently into the areas that worked hardest.
Then take a moment to slow down.
Sometimes body care can be that simple.
No Essential Oils. On Purpose.
Our original Muscle Butter includes lavender, cedarwood, and jasmine essential oils.
Little Muscles doesn’t.
We intentionally created this formula without added essential oils for a simpler approach to body care made with younger bodies and family routines in mind.
That leaves seven purposeful ingredients:
Shea Butter
Kombo Butter
Coconut Oil
Cocoa Butter
Jojoba Oil
Apricot Kernel Oil
Vitamin E
Because these botanical ingredients have their own natural aromas, Little Muscles may retain a subtle scent—particularly from the Kombo butter.
Nothing has been added simply to make it smell a certain way.
Skin Nourishment Comes Along for the Ride
Little Muscles is designed around muscles, joints, movement, and massage.
But the ingredients that give it such a smooth, massage-friendly texture also happen to be excellent body-care ingredients.
Shea butter, cocoa butter, coconut oil, jojoba oil, and apricot kernel oil help soften and condition the skin while providing the glide needed for comfortable massage.
That makes moisturization an important added benefit.
But it isn’t the reason Little Muscles exists.
Little Muscles exists to give parents and caregivers a simple, intentional way to care for hardworking muscles, active joints, and growing bodies after movement.
A Simple Blend of Purposeful Ingredients
Kombo Butter
Our signature Kombo butter gives Little Muscles its distinctive botanical character and connects it directly to the Aye & I Muscle Butter family.
Its traditional use in topical preparations and massage makes it a natural centerpiece for a formula created around intentional body care after movement.
Shea Butter
Shea butter creates the rich, creamy foundation of Little Muscles.
It gives the formula a smooth texture for massage while helping soften and condition dry skin.
Cocoa Butter
Cocoa butter adds body and richness to the formula and contributes to the slow, comfortable glide that works well during massage.
It also helps support moisture retention in the skin.
Coconut Oil
Coconut oil softens readily with body heat and helps the butter spread smoothly across the skin.
Jojoba Oil
Jojoba helps balance the richer plant butters and contributes to a comfortable, silky application.
Apricot Kernel Oil
Apricot kernel oil is lightweight and emollient, providing additional glide while helping condition the skin.
Vitamin E
Vitamin E helps condition the skin and supports the stability of the botanical oils within the formula.
Who Is Little Muscles For?
Little Muscles was created for growing bodies that move in all kinds of ways.
It may fit especially well into routines for:
- Children involved in organized sports
- Kids who spend their days running, climbing, jumping, biking, and playing
- Dancers, swimmers, gymnasts, and young athletes
- Children involved in adaptive sports or recreation
- Children who use mobility aids
- Children whose muscles work harder during everyday movement

- Families who want to create a regular post-activity massage ritual
There is no one way to have an active body.
Every kind of movement deserves care.
How to Use Little Muscles
Warm a small amount of Little Muscles between your hands until the butter begins to soften.
Using gentle pressure, massage into intact skin over hardworking areas such as the:
- Arms
- Shoulders
- Legs
- Thighs
- Calves
- Knees and surrounding areas
- Feet
Use after sports, active play, adaptive activity, bathing, or other periods of movement.
For children participating in physical or occupational therapy, follow the recommendations of their healthcare or therapy team regarding massage and when it is appropriate.
Reapply as needed as part of a regular parent- or caregiver-guided body-care routine.
Because Little Muscles is a rich, concentrated formula, start with a small amount and add more only if necessary.
Make It Part of the Routine
Little Muscles doesn’t need to become another complicated step.
It can simply become part of what happens after a big day.
Practice → Little Muscles → Rest
Playground → Bath → Little Muscles → Bed
Movement → Massage → Wind Down
The routine can look different for every family.
What matters is taking a few moments to care for the body that did all that work.
